A chance to help save the hills

Howdy friends and neighbors of the hills!

The Save the Montebello Hills Task Force - Sierra Club/Angeles chapter will be participating in a community yard sale next Saturday.  This will be a  fine opportunity for folks to meet the task force members and pick up some interesting reading materials about the Montebello hills.

Do a little bargain hunting at their booth and your donations will go towards saving the hills from the proposed development plan.  The Task Force is also looking for donations of gently-used and home made items so dust off those knitting needles, crochet hooks, whittling knives or whatever skill you possess and start crafting.  It's for a good cause.

Here's the information from the Task Force flier:

The long range weather forecast calls for possible showers next Saturday and the City of Rosemead sent out notices the yard sale will still take place if rainfall is light.  In case of heavy rain, the event may be cancelled.   I'll do my best to keep y'all informed of any changes but for now, the chance of heavy rain is slim.
